Mr. Anderson joined Holland & Hart in 2006 with experience in state and federal regulatory law and litigation. Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Mr. Anderson served as Chief Counsel to Colorado Governor Bill Owens. In this cabinet position, he managed the Office of Legal Counsel and served as the chief legal advisor to the Governor and his Administration. Mr. Anderson's responsibilities included advising the Governor and State Departments on a wide range of legal issues, managing and directing state litigation, negotiating state contracts and compacts, and managing the appointment of all state judges. Mr. Anderson also has substantial experience in state and federal regulatory law as well as drafting, lobbying and implementing legislation at the state and federal levels. Mr. Anderson also has prior litigation and regulatory law experience during his association with two Colorado law firms. Mr. Anderson is President of the Colorado Chapter of the Federalist Society, and serves on the Board of Directors for Colorado Preservation Inc., Colorado's non-profit statewide historic preservation organization, and the Ronald McDonald House. At Holland & Hart, Mr. Anderson focuses on state and federal regulatory law, government investigations,litigation and government affairs.
